The Only Open Weekly PHRF Class Racing in the Lake Macatawa Area
We feature Wednesday night races with 7:00 pm starts. We try to keep things simple and
fun and encourage all sailors to come out and race.
The summer series has approximately 40
boats, less for the spring and fall series. It is the largest racing fleet on this side of Lake
Michigan. We have separate starts for jib and main (JAM), S2 7.9, and 3 spinnaker divisions. Races are
mostly on Lake Michigan but are sometimes held on Lake Macatawa if the big lake is too rough.
Races are open to the public with no yacht club affiliation necessary. Sign up for all 3 series,
any one series, or just one race. Entry fee, liability waver, copy of insurance, and copy of
PHRF are required for racing. Race results will be posted weekly on our website.
Whether you're just learning the rules or fine tuning your
seasoned race crew, our main goal is to have a lot of fun!
