BYC RACING CREW EXCHANGE

Available Crew

I am available every wednesday night and I live in SE Grand Rapids. My wife and I started sailing on Hobie Cats in 2014 and then moved to keel boats in 2019 when we took our ASA 101-104 classes. I have done just a handful of races between the two different platforms. I am also a former helicopter crewmember from the US Army so I understand how important crew communication and safety is in demanding environments. Please contact me if you're in need of a crew member!

I am available Wednesday nights. I live in Holland, near Bayshore. I raced on Tsuru with Brian & Kristen VanWieren last fall and loved it! I mainly did jib trim, but I am willing to learn any position. Since they are moving, I am in search for a new boat. Contact me any time you need crew help!

Available on Wednesdays and live in Holland. I started sailing early summer last year on a J22 at the MBJA sailing school. I own and sail a Capri Omega 14 on Lake Macatawa and crewed on the Moxy for one race last Fall, helped with jib trimming and sitting on the rail. I am new to sailing but avid to learn and happy to be rail meat. Open to learn any position.

Available for the Wednesday night series, Saturday racing, and looking for a crew spot for the Mac, Clipper Cup, Queen's Cup, TransMichigan, etc. I have raced the DRYA series on J/111 "Freedom" out of Grosse Point for the last 3 years, but my distance racing experience is on Lake Michigan. Experience in both one-design and handicap racing and extensive experience in sailing including passage-making, night sailing, and more. Search for Bree Recknagel on RailMeets crew finder.

I have been on the Race Committee for the last six years and am hoping for a bit of a change once in a while. Though I haven't sailed in a while, I am a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship and Maritime Arts though it was a few decades ago :) Before moving to Holland, I raced in Annapolis and must say ... every race I was ever in the boat came in first. I will admit that had little to do with me but it is still fun to say. I hope I can be of service to you sometime in the future.
Tantzi Habsburg  616-215-2404  Tantzi@LakeHomes.com

Available Wednesday nights. 15-years sailing/racing experience primarily with smaller day sailors, crew experience on Jeanneau 42 (Nancy Anne). Know how to follow instructions. Werner Steyn 616-450-7723 or werner.steyn@hotmail.com
